Hi, I’m Melody Brown—a salon owner, educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for women in business. But most importantly, I’m a woman who understands the hustle, the challenges, and the beauty of building something from the ground up.
My journey into the beauty industry wasn’t easy. Early in my career, I struggled to find the education I needed to master natural hair techniques. I spent a fortune traveling across the US for a one-on-one classes that completely changed my career. That experience sparked my passion to create opportunities for others so they wouldn’t have to go through the same challenges I did. It’s what led me to build L&M Hair Studio, L&M Hair Lounge, and L&M Hair Academy—all with a focus on natural hair and empowering stylists to turn their skills into successful businesses.
Empowering WOMEN THROUGH COMMUNITY AND CONNECTION
But my mission goes beyond hair. I’m passionate about creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and celebrated. That’s why I host events that bring women together to network, build meaningful connections, and share knowledge. Through these gatherings, and by partnering with local nonprofits, I aim to empower communities and create opportunities for women through education and connection.
On a personal note, I’m a wife to my amazing husband, Jered, and the proud mom of two beautiful daughters who inspire me every day. Together, we’ve built a life grounded in love, laughter, and endless support. I’m also a firm believer in transparency and sharing the real side of entrepreneurship—the struggles, the breakthroughs, and the lessons learned along the way.
